We follow a proven methodology to implement Lean Principals in the Product Development Process. Using this methodology, Dassault Systèmes Services:
- Conducts a Product Development Execution (PDE) Classification Assessment. This step reviews design-build components (processes, parts, assemblies, tools, manufacturing constraints and requirements, etc.) and sorts them into Product Development Classes
- Defines the Product Development Execution model (mechanism, specifications, interfaces and ROI estimate) for each Product Development Class
- Implements the Product Development Execution mechanisms (see illustration below) for each Product Development Class. During this step, we comprehensively implement the Lean Engineering model in production to reduce costs and improve quality and cycle time while respecting IP and Corporate Know-How considerations.
